Heya Alex, why do you think I'm upset or worried about having Ynqwie as fellow moderator?

I never said that I think you are upset or worried about Yngwie being a moderator. I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion all I said was that you seem to have quit deleting spam now that Yngwie is (was) deleting it. Yes I understand that this would seem like a chance to take a break but if that's all this was then you should have let Yngwie know. Otherwise we've all pretty much given up on this site.

"and Sokki gave up the moment he heard Likwid was going to make you a mod Yngwie. I get that you expected them to help here and there but the reality of this is you showed yourself as an easy target who would do all the work no questions asked."

that looks like a negative opinion toward me. I didn't give up when Yngwie came on board. I gave up few months after Likwid gave up to solve the spammy problems. There is just no point for me, to stand against spam programs.

I was under the impression you were still doing work to stop, slow down, or at least do something about the spam based on conversations I have read through (conversations between you and Yngwie). After Yngwie first said that Likwid would make him a mod to delete spam those conversations stopped and it looked like you quit/took a break. Whatever you want to call it you were working against the spam a long time after Likwid left. But you are correct in quoting that I had a negative opinion, however it is justified. Seeing as how you stopped "working" against the spam (I'm still giving you the benefit of the doubt in thinking you were just taking a break) there should be some kind of explanation as to why you stopped deleting the spam while letting Yngwie do everything. On another note though I like how you have changed the topic of your arguments from my supposedly saying you think Yngwie being a mod has made you "Upset or Worried" and now quote me while making yourself look like I'm the one causing this little "debate" we are now having.

well Alex, it doesn't matter who start the debate, even if it's negative/positive regarding the involved ones. I suppose from your point of view, you assume that I gave up the moment when Yngwie become a mod, looked right. However, I mention that I gave up months after Likwid didn't take actions to fight and stop the spam software. I just felt accused wrongly. I did delete spams for months and months, without any results from Likwid. I simply decided to wait for anti-spam software to be used, then I could jump in and delete all previous spams. Until then, i'm not really sure that I can standa against spam softwares... Cheers

This seems like a Odd conversation. I know, this is on your profile Alex, but i'm going to talk to sokki for a moment. It's true that we can't fight the spam how much we try. But even so, aren't we moderators because Likwid probably saw something useful in us? I think we as moderators still have the responsebility to clear out the forum. Now sokki, I've already mentioned the amount of spam you deleted the day i became moderator. I checked the moderator panel's history, and did see you deleted quite some spam. So i could understand why you got tired. it's a endless war dat you simply can't win without new Technology. I think Likwid should advance into the website, more security, more spam blockers etc. Even if it's costs money. I feel like Likwid gave up on the site. I tried to talk to him. But he doens't response anymore. So think the site is just doomed to Rot, or Likwid is afraid and ashamed. I wouldn't know which of the problem seems right, but both of them prevents the site from growing back again. -Yngwie-

Despite Yngwie's unquestionable positive work so far, I do partly agree with you, Alex. I'll keep it short: I welcome the addition Yngwie's to the moderator (slash administrator?) team, however I still vote for a massive overhaul for the forums, and I still vote for less moderators as well as administrators, and I still vote for more regular members. To this time we need to use our Power (or rather, as you pointed out, Yngwie's ...) constructively, and not destructively. We have to create reasons for the regular members to stay and the guests to register. Those new members would then invite their friends and so forth and so on, resulting in even more regular members (which should be our goal)! I am not certain about whether we are going the right path at the moment ...

That's what I've been thinking. I hope some of the older members come back now and then though.
